Bill's Forward
October, 1935
It's Halloween, 1935, and the place is Danny's Tavern, located under the Dorchester Citizen's Club, right down the street from St. Peter's Church. We opened exactly one year ago today. And I am finally logging the first entry of this tavern - of the people, the times, and the events, For a year I've played with this idea. But now it's a reality.
Here's what I plan to do: track a group of guys - document the history of their lives - as honestly as I see it. Win, lose, or draw, let's see what life deals to us all.
In general, most stories will include workers and veterans.

In addition, during the first week, Booker had customers sign the "Danny's Tavern Honor Roll". There were 73 names on the chart, which were framed at Peter Z's Print Shop and mounted on the wall.
